As a life coach, you need to turn over clients whom you suspect have serious mental illnesses. Life coaches aren’t trained to treat clinical depression and other mental illnesses. To become a life coach, you need to familiarize yourself with the techniques and principles of the profession. There are schools and institutions that specialize in these training techniques. Ideally, as in other teaching professions, you will also need to look for your mentor. Make sure that your mentor has enough experience as a life coach, and that they are experienced in the field your looking for.

There is no point in going to a business coach if your having challenges in your relationship. Aside from the basic principles of life coaching, you can also ask you mentor how to market your services as a life coach. You can either look for clients online or offline. These marketing strategies should complement one another.

When you set up websites for your services, you should employ basic search engine optimization principles. It will also help if you include helpful tips related to life coaching in your website. This will also make you more credible as a life coach. You can treat these articles as “samplers” if you will.

Offline marketing strategies you can use for your business include networking and branding. When you give our business cards as a life coach, you should include your website’s URL address as well. You can also build effective mailing lists from guest lists if you were invited in a seminar as a speaker.

I am at my best with the wind in my face,
When overcoming the challenge, with pace.
The pace that requires more effort, more strength.
But once gained momentum endures with great length.

I believe in putting my goals on the notice board beside me each and reading them out loud each and every day. This helps me get in the zone and stay 100% focused on what I need to achieve each day.

Try it! Coaches tend not to do it even though they know the power of it!

It is one big negative circle because as soon as you see your poor outcome, you tell yourself that you were right to have the negative belief in the first place and so the circle rolls again!!

When you have believe something positive about yourself, you start to have a positive expectation. You become more confident in the way you talk and they way you conduct yourself. You strive for an excellent outcome and you always look for the good points in everything.

Again this works in a circle too, in the sense that, when you have an excellent outcome, it helps you stay positive and helps you focus on all the positive things again. Try it – it really works!!

Ask yourself the following ten question and count up the number of ‘YES’ answers you get!

1.      When you communicate with people, do they have a genuine connection with you?

2.     Do people find it easy to tell you their problems and do you enjoy helping them?

3.     Would you enjoy inspiring hundreds of people to live their dreams?

4.     Are you ready for a new life and an adventure?

5.     Are you ready to take control of your life?

6.     Are you ready to experience new levels of success and fulfilment in your life?

7.     Are you tired of working for someone else?

8.    Would you like more freedom in your life?

9.     Have you questioned if your in the right job?

10.        Do you dream of a career filled with joy, happiness and, above all, purpose?

How?
When choosing your method, you need to check out:
firstly, which would your brain feel more comfortable with. 
If you prefer to;
 - Write down everything in month by month or week by week format and get it all down on paper so that you have a systematic plan to the very end date.
  – If seeing the entire plan down on one sheet will not over whelm you and will help you to focus month by month, then the six month plan is for you.

The ‘to do’ list version is more for someone who can see the priorities of now and can work towards each priority.  This tool is better for a plan that can not all be seen from the beginning. 
If you can’t tell what will happen in a month’s time because it depends on outcomes of this month, the ‘to do’ technique is a better one to choose.

ONE
Give yourself a deadline.
Write out a monthly plan until you reach your deadline. 
Lets take a deadline of 30th December and today is the 30th June.
Write at to top of a page; June, July, August, September, October, November, December.
Under each month headline, make a list of everything you need to acheive in that month.  This way you have a systematic plan,  a smaller step by step plan that needs to be completed by that date.

TWO:
You are still giving your self a deadline because we all need to work to some sort of date.
Under this technique, you are working off a ‘To do’list.  You are listing all the things you need to be completed next in your plan, once completed you are creating a new list until you reach your goal.
Some make it a monthly ‘to do’ list, others make it a weekly list.  Once you’ve decided how your will work your plan, ensure that you are updating it consistently until  you have rached your goal, target.
